PLEASE, URGENT. transfering a reseller to my server.

Posted by sw0rdy, 08-19-2011, 11:40 AM
Well, here's the story. Its been 10 days that i am struggling to move over a reseller client to my account. 1. I bought master reseller from elven2.com 2. I got a new client who's a reseller , so needed to move him over. 3. Seems that those guys know absolutely nothing about transferring. 4. After they finally said its done, i logged into my client's whm [which is now on my server], and under "list account" i see none of HIS client's domain. Can someone tell me what exactly am i supposed to do? Elven2 guys has been running around for like 3 days now in a simple transfer process.

Sounds like you should bail out. Transferring accounts, especially on CPanel, isn't exactly rocket science. If they're struggling with that, then I wouldn't really have much confidence in them.

I would agree... This tells me that A) They did not transfer ALL of the accounts, just the resellers primary domain B) They did not correct the account ownership upon transfer

1 Transferring cPanel accounts is about is as easy as it can get, for the most part. You have to wonder what else the host can't do. Get your money and run fast.

Transferring cPanel accounts is easy, however I wasn't aware that elven2.com(do you mean eleven2.com) offered master reseller accounts

We actually do NOT offer master reseller accounts. Sounds like that is the issue right there.

Please e-mail me your ticket ID to rodney at eleven2.com - and I can look into this. We migrate hundreds of accounts per day and no problem doing this. We definitely know what we are doing here. Sounds like there might be some confusion here with you or one of our support agents and I do apologize for that if that is the case.

Actually some times it can be very hard especially if the account your migrating from is generating corrupt backups, etc

Or if they are trying to move from a master reseller account, which sounds like might the be the case here. I have look through a bunch of our tickets trying to find anything remotely close to what the OP is describing and cannot find anything close.

But I could not find any master reseller package on their website.

Did you contact them directly about this? If so, what did they say? Sounds like its just some miscommunication (which happens), especially with the influx of these "master" reseller plans during the past couple years, its easy for consumers to get confused about the difference between reseller and master reseller accounts (which not everybody offers).

I have yet to hear from the OP about this. I am here and will take a look as soon as I get that e-mail

Sounds like your on it, good job!

Yes, looks like you guys transfered it. I am not sure why are you saying that you do not offer master reseller accounts. I was clerly told on live chat that "I can offer reseller plans". [Not sure master reseller], but I am sure i was told i would be able to offer reseller accounts to my clients. Just in case you want to have a look, heres the ticket ID: 169108

When was the live chat, as I see you asked the question here if they were master reseller accounts, and you were clearly answered here that they were not master resellers?

Yes, you are right. my bad, however, despite of master/alpha reseller, it didn't make any difference in my case. Anyway, things seems to be fixed now.

Then its better to contact them again to ask about master reseller before you get into the problem in near future. EDIT: I did not see the post above me. Glad to know that you are happy now. Last edited by ModelWebHost; 08-20-2011 at 08:37 PM. Reason: Info added
