How to resell Reseller Hosting?

Posted by Shoop, 08-15-2011, 07:08 PM
Hi How do you make the reseller hosting packages as white label? i am suspecting that DNS has something to do whit it.

Private nameservers.

You can do this by creating Private nameservers. By doing this no one will know that you are a reseller.

I know what they are, but where do I get them to offer? Remember, i am reselling the reseller hosting packages.

if you whant to sell them with a dedicated ip for that matter but it will cost to you more

This does not fully white label the reseller as it would still be easy for anyone to see who hosts the reseller using common online tools. To answer the question correctly from the op, you would need to ask the host if they offer white labeled name servers, meaning a set of name servers that do not include the name of the originating host (not just private name servers)...you can then make private name servers to build the brand of the reseller if desired.

But all of us know very well that nowadays private name servers are free with almost every reseller provider. Thus it is presumed to have private labeled name servers.

There is no 100% way of doing it. Someone with enough experience will always be able to find out who you use. All I suggest you do is have custom nameservers instead of using the providers nameservers, and purchase dedicated IP so you can have custom PTR records. Also have the hostname not be related to the name of the hosting provider (optional).

OP, there's one provider in Reseller Offer Section that actually do this. All IPs including, Server, Nameservers, rDNS, SWIP etc are only pointed to the datacenter not the reseller provider. You don't have to pay extra for anything just pay the regular subscription. I know because I inquired before and he gave me the details which I already verified but I'm not yet their client as of the moment but very much interested to try them in the future.

Your answer does not correlate to the question.

sorry to be thick but what does 'use private nameservers mean'. Does that mean you buy a hosting package and point the nameservers at your original reseller domain held on the seller servers? I don't get the technical flow...can you explain to me please remembering that i'm thick? thanks

Short answer: Every domain needs to be configured to point to a server so the end user can view your website location/files. This is conducted through name servers. If a web host allows private name servers they allow you to tell your clients to configure their domains to point to something like ns1.yourcompany.com/ns2.yourcompany.com as opposed to ns1.yourhostingcontractor.com/ns2.yourhostingcontractor.com. In this way you are telling your clients to point their domains to nameservers in your company's name rather than the company you resell from.

It is easy to find out who owns the server nameservers. There is no way of keeping the info 100% anonymous.

Create Private nameservers.

Oh, sorry! Lol

Call the datacenter and ask? Or inquire to every reseller provider in WHT and ask their IP and make a compilation?

Googling the IPs/nameservers is another way. They've most likely been mentioned before already. Which provider is supposed to be offering 100% anonymous reseller packages?

Posted by Yujin, 08-20-2011, 09:09 PM
If I told you then it will no longer be anonymous. When I inquire to these providers I ask them to PM me ALL the IPs for verification and for privacy reason.
