WHT, Any one tried Cpanel Server Service from the CXS/CSF/LFD people!? For $130/server they will install CXS/CSF/LFD and many other tools and secure your server and they will not allow you to see what they are doing or send you the steps to do it your self. Did you guys try this service? Would you recommend them? did you face any server issues after they did it? My main concern is that I will lose track of the server changes, and if I face any issues with server or Apache or my websites, I will not know where to start. Please shed some light on this service.

I would not do it either, if you are not allowed to know what's being done. Piss on that. I recently bought cxs, and they told me everything that was being done with the included install service.

It's quite understandable that they don't want to show you every single step, however, they do provide you with a very detailed breakdown of what they've installed and changed after it's done. It's understandable because (a) people are jealous of their intellectual property in this area; (b) if you knew the steps they probably wouldn't work as there are corner cases, and (c) they would have some or most of it automated, which makes it harder to break out the steps to tell you what they did; and (d) it would change regularly as new exploits come up. I've been using them for years and recommend them - I do know server security, but I don't have time any more to keep track of all the latest ins and outs, and these guys do just that beautifully. Just checking - you understand the people who sold you cxs are the same people you're talking about here? Or am I confused?

You are fine. Just ask for some detailed report so you would know what has been done. Anyway, if there is a problem with your site in the future, you can just ask help from them since they are the one managing your server.
