cPanel POP Servies Issues - All My Servers

Posted by InfiniteTech, 05-01-2008, 02:23 AM
Its been happening from around 00:00 GMT 30th April/1st May. All my servers are spamming me with these, not just one. All are set to auto update on STABLE build. Anyone else having these issues? cPanel and their nasty bug releases I suppose. Even after paying them a premium price and recognizing them as a premium control panel provider!

Did you check the error logs for any specific errors? If you have confirmed this is a cpanel bug from the cpanel team, disable the monitoring of the pop service temporarily on servers.

Hello Ganesh, Yes, after the recent upgrade of cpanel there is a pop3-ssl wrapper problem arrived. This is basically not a big problem, cause, you just need to restart your cpanel to sort this matter. If you only try to restart cppop or courier, it won't go. I faced the same problem in three of my servers today morning and after reviewing few logs, i got the error was with the pop3-ssl wrapper. If that doesn't sort your matter, may be you should stick with the cpanel support to resolve it.

If it is with the cp update, i believe you should switch the cpanel version to the stable release to avoid further complications

Looks like you need to upgrade your cPanel version, this should fix your problem. If you continue to have issues, contact cPanel

Read my opening post. It clearly states that I am using the STABLE build. I do not use any other build for production env. anyway. What will I upgrade to? Its the latest version already.

Restarted cPanel. Lets see!

Nope, doesn't work for by restarting. Attempting a forced re-installation/update of cPanel now.

Thanks a lot, Dave. Issue has been fixed by your technician named John Bell. He says that the issue was caused due to the update in Courier service in your latest stable build update release. As per his email, he says that he is now trying to replicate the issue on his test system. Will keep you all updated
