I am having problem with a server. On all sites on the server start appearing core.xxxx files that in result fill server. Quotas were disabled because some people had issues logging in on because of error. Please tell me why does these files appear and how to remove all of them so they dont appear again, on some sites there are thousands of core.xxxx files and weigh over 60GB.

Nevermind, found a way via rm -rf core.* but these files are nearly on all accounts, how do i delete all of them at once on all accounts? Creation of core files i disabled in /etc/profile.

You may wish to investigate what is causing the core files to be generated. Typically such files are only generated in the event of a catastrophic failure of a script.

I would actually look at investigating one of the core files to see what the problem actually is. Here's a site that shows you how to take a look at the cause using gdb: http://linuxfocus.berlios.de/English...ticle343.shtml I'm going to bet though your issue is with PHP crashing. Most of the time the crashes are caused by Zend optimizer not being compatible with the PHP version being used so some functions crash.
