Typical Hosting Client Stats

Posted by prawoto, 04-25-2003, 02:35 PM
I'm trying to build a financial model for reselling web hosting and was wondering if anyone has or knows of stats showing the min, max and average hosting client along these lines (like a histogram): - amount of disk space used - bandwidth - services used ... or any other cost driver I haven't mentioned. Thanks.

i've been told a couple times that usually (not always) clients use about 10% of their alloted resources. In my past experiences, it's about right. Except some clients may use a higher percentage of their given space. Dunno if this will help.

You won't build a very solid financial plan if you expect your clients to use only 10% of their resources. This leads to over selling, and while most clients at first will use very little of their resources it is likely that the longer they are with you, the more they will use. Adrian.
