MC Host Double Charge - Never Reply

Posted by nickchiu, 04-24-2003, 09:48 PM
I just reviewed my visa card statement and realized that I was double charged by "MC Host" and "Paysystems" for the same amount for the past 3 or 4 months. I have no intention to damage the reputation of Mchost.. However, I had been contact them MANY times via emails, trying to get the situation investigated. However, not single response was received. They have no telephone support. Anybody can help? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Nick

Log into your Paysystems client section - https://auth.paysystems.com/cardholder/ and stop the recurring transaction yourself. No need to wait for your host to do this.

Yes, I tried to use the help desk. But, I lost my password and setup email. I tried to email to cs@mchost.com, billing@mchost.com many times for the info, but NO single reply. Is there any telphone support #?? Thanks!

Log into https://cardholder.paysystems.com/ and request a refund. It takes them a couple weeks to process it, but at least it gets done. Edit > Sorry Bob, completely missed your post

Why is MChost replying here when they should be replying on thier website. McHost really bad? i been seeing alot of bad things with this company. Make sure the graphics community knows about them. I really don't think we need this type of scam artist online.

Posted by Aussie Bob, 04-25-2003, 07:32 AM
Ahhhh, Marc and co have some serious issues, yes. I hardly think you'd have them in the "scam artist" catagory though.

Posted by phisholay, 04-25-2003, 07:37 AM
Then what do you call people who double charge thier client? And all the bad post i been reading about them.

Incompetent.

wow, another negative thread about mchost, whats happening lately, occasionally now and then you always find a bad post about mchost

Posted by Revnet, 04-25-2003, 09:18 AM
I wonder why? then again, it's not totally mchost's fault. it's the customers fault for singing up with them in the first place. you snooze, u lose.

Why is the customer posting here when there are clear instructions all over our website and forums? Even when you go to our helpdesk, it says right there in big letters, "No Access? Get your information here". See https://secure.mchost.com/clients/ , its been there for 3 months. If we don't reply here, we get accused of not caring, not being there or whatever. If we do respond here, we get accused as well. If the customer doesn't contact us and i have no way of knowing who she/he is (doesnt show her/his name or even email address), where do you want me to reply? There are a few too many little competitors on WHT, IMO. Flame away.

you find 2 or 3 negative threads about hosting companies 10 or 20 times smaller than we are, within 24 hours. i don't see 20 or 30 negative threads about us in that amount of time. you see negative threads about rackshack, burstnet and others. WHT is not the center of the hosting industry. its a price you pay when you have thousands of clients, you can't keep everyone 100% happy.

What a strange comment. Care to elaborate? How is that in direct context with this thread?

Well I was not gonna post anything till I seen this, if you think that I am gonna stand around and let you say things like that well, lemme tell you a thing or two sir. I was getting discouraged till I seen this remark, believe me this is not a flame in anyway, this is a fact. I have had my company for almost 5 months now and I have three paying customers and was about to give up but now I am not. I will invest every ounce of energy and my last dollar to achieve my goals. Now if you thought I was going to hurt your business by posting ads in the requests section then you was wrong. I was out just to start a small company 1000 clients or so and that would be it. Now I will own the largest privately held web hosting company in this industry. You sir have fueled my rage and I will rise to the top of this industry. Fact. I am smaller company, I can offer faster more efficient support and service. Thank You Lee Cupp

Companies that intentionally doublecharge their client and aren't willing to fix the problem are fraud Companies that mistakenly double-charge their clients may be irresponsible, but so long as their willing to fix the problem, labeling them as scammers is a bit too much.

Marc, maybe because in all the time I have been paying monthly fees to MChost, and occasionally double-billed by both MChost and Paysystems, I have never had access to those MChost forums. Yes, I know I never asked, but I would have thought that my customer login would be enough to get me into an 'official' MChost forum. And then, maybe it is because on 04-24-03 at 12:56 PM I requested access to those forums, in the correct message thread on MChost, and now, a day later, my access has still not been activated. So WHT is the only information I have available to determine what is going on 'behind the curtain' at MChost Sincerely, Trevor G Marshall, PhD Contributing Editor, BYTE.com

That's such a bull****. Marc, you know that you're doing everything just not to refund what we have overpayed. I kept my mouth shut and was reopening the tickets for the past few months, all of them were always closed with no reply and no refund. You don't reply emails either. I've cancelled account in January. And don't tell me you don't know me. Just check the tickets 1142 and especially 2172 And if you again try to lie here, just remember, I have screenshots and saved files from all the tickets, relevant forum threads and emails... He is not willing to refund the money. For me and the law, he is a fraudster. Maybe Timmy slipped through, Marc won't! For such a "big" company he's very elusive fella. No address, no phone, emails bottomless pit, he does not allow complaints in his forum and does not respond to support tickets which is "official" channel as he's endlessly repeating here... And he didn't respond to complaints at BBB. Maybe he will here.

Just a side note...you see what you've written there Lee. Gary

I know, I sound like a caveman don't I ? I was furious when I read that comment. This industry seems like a sister to the trucking industry. Theres billions to go around and people still cut throat each other. But I will always offer fast and efficient support cause I will have... Well it will revolutionize the way hosting companies do business. P.S. If I misspelled somethin it's cause I just got up
