Decent Full Server Management Company ?

Posted by codyb, 12-29-2015, 01:29 AM
Hi, I'm building a file transfer site and I need a recurring-monthly reasonably priced server management company to ensure all that is need on the server side. And I mean all: security, updates, software install, etc. I'm located in the USA, but oversees is fine as well. Thank you.

What's your budget? Are you looking for something on hourly basis or fixed price contract? Second option I am assuming, you say you want all of it, you may need to be more specific whats expected within the scope and get a quote for that. With overseas support I'd recommend to do a trial run first make sure communication levels are adequate and admins knowledgeable I hear it's not always the case and if you can't communicate efficiently this can be a problem on the long run.

You may better look into a proactive server support companies. You can see a lot from the add forums too. Most of those companies provide trial services too.

I've heard good things about BobCares and PlatinumServerManagement, might be worth checking them out.

In the US, Rack911 is well-known on WHT. I deal with them often since we have a lot of mutual customers, and they really know their stuff. They're not really a low-budget choice, but I think their pricing is reasonable for what they do, and they'll probably get things done faster than the cheap management companies.

For what you are looking for I recommend you contact platinum server management. They will be able to help you with taking care of your server and the security for you and they charge $29 a month. I've been using their services since I purchased my first server long time ago and have always liked the services they have provided me with over the years.
