Hello, when logging in via ssh as root on my VPS, I get these messages: Any idea how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: Weird, it worked after trying to re-login again.. But for future reference, what caused this and how would it be fixed (if relogging in doesn't work)?

Make sure you you have the following entry in the /etc/fstab file.

How do I add that?

echo "none /dev/pts devpts rw 0 0" >> /etc/fstab

That may not always fix the issue. I have also seen where you need to run: One or the other should correct it. It's a fairly well known issue that I thought was already resolved. Guess not

Hi! If this is xen (As I suspect) this needs to be fixed on the host..it has nothing to do with your vps at all. I'm bushed..or I would find the article. have your host google "Install Xen howto" and I think they'll find the howtos as I did. Bryon

Yes, either create virtual devices or disable udev (Universal device manager) on boot.
