DNS Nameserver Setup - HELP!!!!

We are moving one of our main domains to a shared hosting account on another server, in case our server goes down, our helpdesk and main site can remain online. The question I have is regarding setting up DNS to host our main domain on the shared hosting provider. In this case, we can use our hosts nameservers, eg, ns1.hostsnameserver.com and ns2.hostsnameserver.com, but for cosmetic reasons we would like to ensure that our domain is featured at the domain registry as having our own nameservers, eg, ns1.ourname.com and ns2.ourname.com The issue is that our host does not provide a private nameserver option, so I wonder if we can achieve what we want using CNAME's in the DNS. Eg, We specify ns1.ourname.com at the domain registry, and use a CNAME to point ns1.ourname.com, etc to the A record of our host's nameserver, eg, ns1.hostsnameserver.com Can we then specify our NS record as ns1.ourname.com? This issue is purely a cosmetic one, but we need to make sure we look like we run our own nameservers and don't utilise someone elses. I hope this makes sense, looking for advice and ideas to overcome this issue. Thanks, Sallyanne

No, you cannot. The whois info of the domain will show the name servers assigned in the domain registrar panel. BTW, many hosting providers provide their name server IPs and we can register our own name servers using their name server IPs... may be your provider have a different idea...
