Can SSH username be---this?

Hello could any lovely soul tell me If SSH username could be something like this?:
server.domain.com

Yes it certainly can. I have done this and know it works on CentOS

It can be but generally it's not going to be your hostname.

Are on VPS or dedicated hosting? If VPS you will have to login with username root and its password.

it is a very good idea to create a unique username [not only a hard to guess password ] it ads some etra security.

I would contact your host to find out what the SSH username is. Also, it sounds, to me, that you do not have a lot of experience with SSH. If you do have a root access, be careful as you can really mess your system up if you dont know what you are doing.

Thanks everybody for enlighting me,what I thaught it was is something some guy told me that SSH username can not be changed that it always has to be root,and guess what felas I tried it and it worked,well now that Im
logged in I have a proof that is truly vps and not shared,some guy told me that I also check index on SSH that this would lead me also to find out it really is vps

That has nothing to do with being a shared, VPS or dedicated. cPanel limits you to a particular amount of letters, but other control panels don't.
