Both are new companies, as far VAR goes I would for sure wait for a month or so to with them. Unless they are giving some significant discount and/or anyother info that makes their case very strong. I would suggest you to expand your list of Hosts, and then do a comparision.

This is from Hostnetway... Kenneth: We have had maybe 3 periods of downtime before this policy. And 0 downtime since we have had this policy / new provider. WOW? wat to expect?

Kenneth runs a pretty good show. I would give hostnetway a shot.

Of course not! I own and operate my own server.

Rogean what would you expect from an hosting company with $40 dollar? how much DiskSpace+Bandwidth?

Posted by NeoGen, 11-10-2004, 06:51 AM
With $40 a month I should be looking at 6GB of Space and 100GB of B/w with a variation of + - 30% The costing also depends on features, level of support and credibility of Host in the industry. Finally its you who has to take a call on what you want!

Hi there folks! We didn't really have downtime - we changed our name from tripodhosting.com to VARhosting.net as a way to: (a) avoid any possible lawsuits from the Lycos folks (b) show or focus towards the reseller community We're working with the Lpanel folks to get billing software included for just $10/month extra. As for the downtime, please let me know more details since I'm unaware of this! Regards, Roj

all reseller companies have downtime, but finding a company that has good service AND A REPUTATION FOR IT not just ehre on WHT but elsewhere is vital, id always go with a company thats been in the business for a long time and knows how to treat and keep clients plus manage the servers and the problems that occur with them vars is new so id wait a year with them the other looks good but...

Neogen summed it up perfectly
