Hi, I mailed surpass and was wondering, could i install that whmap myself? safe me $20 Also i was thinkin about their $15 a month reseller plan. As thats all i could aford for now, They're the only company that keep in touch by mail. So what do yee think? I read the reviews heer but sayin that, they're in biz since 2002? with alot of happy customers? Hell to you too, I know you can't please everybody, but i don't want to be left in the dark, I'm new to this reseller business but i have looked through many sites, Something tells me to try out your services, but as i only used cpamnel for my own web sites, I dont know how to use whm or the other features, what i mean is.. How wil i set up a package that works with a site to auto activate accounts and such. Who would helo me learn all of these great features? I hope you can understand my position. ---------- We will be glad to provide any assistance we can in using your reseller account. We aren't going to leave you out in the dark, trust me. We care very much about our customers and try to accomodate any request we can. You can view the WHM documentation here: http://www.cpanel.net/docs/whm/index.html . That gives an overview of every feature in WHM. (some features are root user only, so you won't see them in your WHM) WHM is a fairly simple program to use. You first setup hosting packages which specify how much disk space, bandwidth, email accounts, ftp accounts and features your customers can use. Then you fill out a simple account creation form with the domain name, username, password, and hosting package for your customer. Then your customer updates their domain's DNS name servers to the ones we assign to your reseller account. And that is pretty much it. As for automatic account creation, we recommend WHMAutopilot (www.whmautopilot.com) It is a somewhat complicated program for beginners to use, so I would stick with manually making accounts for now. ---------- Hello Mark, I'm just curious how wil li conenct an account/package I setup to my site, wouldnt i need something like auto piolet to add these features to my site, such as creating a plan/account that a customer would be able to click on and buy a package from my site, how will that work. Is whm enough to complete those steps. or is ap included in the standard plans. ----- WHM itself can't handle orders through a website, it is just a tool. You will need a billing program like Auto Pilot, Modernbill or Clientexec for that. Autopilot is included in 2 of our plans here: http://www.surpasshosting.com/whmapplans.php But not on the regular reseller plans. If you do not wish to use those 2 plans, autopilot is available for purchase through us for $18 a month. ------ Hey Mark, If i signed up for the standard plan with the 7gb for $15 a month, does that mean i have another 10gb for my own cpanel account and that 7gb is to use in my reseller? And how much would that cost me if i got the whmap with that 7gb standard plan? ------ Hi, You are correct, we would match the diskspace for the main domain as well as alott 10GB of bandwith monthly for it. The price for whmap is $18.00 monthly, or $135.00 one-time. We also charge a $20.00 installation fee. Thank you. Eric L. Responsive Support Department. We appreciate your business and patience. Hi sounds! I am currently on one of Surpass's WHM:AP plans for 2 months (before that I was on a reseller account for 4+ months, the upgrade was very fast and no downtime.)I have to say that I couldn't be more happier with the service I have received! The uptime is great!, The speed is great!, The admins on Surmunity are very helpful indeed. I'd recommend anyone I know to go with them if they wanted a reseller plan, however it was shared they'd come to me GB. And yes you may install WHM:AP yourself (i did), they just provide you with a liscence for $18/mo instead of the standard $25/mo I think it is. #EDIT: My apologies it's $20/mo from WHMautopilot.com Last edited by ghostbone; 01-31-2005 at 08:37 PM.

For installation, you will need to refer to WHMAutoPilot Documentation, It's easy process. Otherwise, and If you want to get rid of the headache during install, you can ask them to install it for you. For usage, it's fairly easy. For your records: http://www.whmautopilot.com/usermanu..._v2_manual.htm Intallation tab.

Thanks that's very good to read, now i know it's not so hard to install by myself, I'm still wondering, once WHMAP is configured, lets say to give out free 100mb accounts, do you have to go and then build a website or is the whmap what your visitors will see as your site? Am i missing something, damn!

WHM:AP Won't be your website, it's a custom billing script and automatic account creation / client management. Hope this helps. GB.
