Managing Multiple Reseller Accounts
Posted by yomamaii, 01-31-2005, 11:39 PM I have multiple reseller accounts in multiple places. I was wondering how does everyone else manage there reseller sites. I guess what I am wondering is there a program not billing related. That will allow you to manage your cPanel/WHM servers from one control panel . Say I buy cPanel/WHM and install it at home, can I add multiple reseller accounts to that software and still manage the other accounts. Does this make sense? Thank you in advanced for you help.
Posted by Aussie Bob, 01-31-2005, 11:55 PM You'd have to just build a simple page with direct links to each WHM. Not sure why you'd need more than that, so long as you know what clients are in which WHM account, you're apples. - Bob

I don't have any hard evidence, but my perception is that often people distribute their reseller accounts to mitigate risk. However because quality of host vary's, between awful hosting and excellent hosting, as the number of reseller accounts being managed becomes unwieldly, most start leaning towards consolidating with the better hosts. If you have enough reseller accounts to either justify a VPS, advanced reseller account or dedicated server, there might also be financial reasons to consolidate. From your question, however - it sounds like this wasn't the answer you were looking for rather, it seems you were looking for suggestions about what tools might make your life easier, if hosting multiple reseller accounts is the path you perfer to follow. I can't recommend tools, but I hope these observations will be helpful. Cheers Jeff
