| i've learned my lesson.. never trust ebay resellers
its all been good for 2 months with my ebay reseller and just today, i've lost every account in my WHM except 5.. theres files deleted from my account and even e-mail accounts
i e-mail the tech support and dont even get straight answers
i used to have a dedicated intel celeron server but it was about $120 a month so i decided to switch to a reseller after i heard good things and the ad was marketed very well
turns out, my whole hosting business has been ruined and 50+ accounts have been deleted meaning many people have just lost their files and subdomains and e-mails and the list goes on and on
i need a dedicated server really bad..im trying really hard to sell my 5 templates for $500 so I can get back up on my feet..

| I've read only bad things about most reseller and web hosting from eBay. I also read that someone there offer unlimited reseller hosting for $20. A bit hard to believe and I'm sure it's not good at all, but then I'm sure some hosting companies that advertise are well to do companies, but with so much bad press it will be hard to find out who's who in eBay.

| Did you have off-server backups? If so, you should be able to get a more reliable host and restore your client's accounts. If your clients see you actively working to quickly rectify the problem, you might keep more of them then you imagine. People are generally pretty tolerant so long as they see you working diligently on the problem and taking steps to make sure that it does not happen again.
Remember, it takes work on their part to move to a new host and people are naturally inclined to do less work rather than more. If you can move quickly, you can save them from having to do that work.

| It really is too bad that eBay has consistently attracted the types of hosting companies it does. Personally, I think eBay is a fantastic marketing tool, representing alot of potential - however, with the stigma attached to it, we have always avoided it...

| Why not order a VPS? They are the fraction of the cost, are mostly managed, and come with root access.

whats the most webspace they come with

| Well, they can come in anywhere from 5GB File Space to near 40 GB File Space. Note why they are a "fraction of the price" of a dedicated server
And they can go from anywhere between $40-$135 a month with CPANEL already installed and managed secure solutions by their staff..
Some are managed, some aren't, you have to watch that.
And yes, I believe you can make reseller accounts with them. Some hosts even give you dedicated IP's to use (aside from the ones they already used to make your account and private name server.
Just think about it being like a dedicated server, with everything cut-off to a fraction.

| Godaddy may be more stable but I cannot comment much on their hosting support. They have a very attractive virtual dedicated server plan: https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/hosti...splay=virtual.

PS. sshostpro does not seem to have any TOS on their site. The only agreement between host and client appears to be the one drawn up by PayPal, that is, if you're paying through PayPal.

| GoDaddy Tech Support for Hosting are about as intelligent as AOL or Hewlett-Packard Tech Support..
Meaning if you have to contact them, you better know how to fix the problem yourself.
