| I want to know which backup solution is better of the following three
R1Soft CDP Ent Edition
Symantec Backupexec
Novabackup xSP

| For what I've read, R1SoftCDP is the way to go and recommended in a lot of blogs, because it is fast, it is reliable, and it has a very low bandwidth consumption when backing up due to its backup algorithms. Although it is not cheap.

| r1soft also is light on disk i/o for backups.
I wouldn't touch anything made by symantec in general, and don't have experience with novabackup.

| Hi
+1 for R1soft, have used it for years now and it just works.. have done a few Bare Metal restores, which can be slow, but at the end of the day it gets your server back should the worst ever happen.
Incidently I also use "Control Panels" own backup solution as a 2nd backup just in case.

We have got nothing but good experience with this. Issues happen, but they are very fast in resolving them.

| Backup sometimes fail with the following message "Backup failed to cleanup from previous interruption". We need to contact them for a resolution then.

| I suggest you can use R1Soft CDP Ent Edition. I used it and it high performance disk to disk backup software.

| Symantec Backupexec is best for big companies...
i am Symantec Technical Specialist for Symantec Backupexec 12 and its the best, many gov dc use it.
