Is there a way to find an Enom chain.
Posted by simonpeter2, 05-19-2006, 10:10 AM |
I was just wondering if there is anyway for to find out how big the chain is above an Enom reseller account. I recently took one over and there should be only one but is there a way to check?
Also along the same line is there a way to at least check to see if there is no one above the account other than Enom?
Thx.

You can probably find out from the pricing. How much do you get your domains for? If you are at $6.95 and you didn't pay the full fee then you are likely under 1. If you are at $7.95 you are likely only under 1. If you are at $8.95 you could be under 2. Anything above that, who knows.

I am confident that I am under 1 (great rep and 6.95 names) but I was just wondering if there is a physical way to verify any of this because from what I can see there is no way for anyone to really check. I would have thought there might be a way to check to see if at least there is only one between you and the parent (enom). I spent a couple of months looking before I found someone comfortable enough with to buy a 6.95 account from.

There's no way for you to find out. ENOM does a good job at keeping that information private in order to protect their ETP's and their ETP's client tree. I hope the new management @ enom keep it that way

Simon is correct. There is no way to find out this information, because eNom has a strict Privacy Policy that does not allow them to reveal information about stuff that does not "belong" to you.
