Reseller Location
Posted by SteveOh, 05-22-2006, 10:53 AM I'm looking for a reseller. Would I be better trying to find a reseller in the UK rather than the USA..... All of my business will be in the UK. Would the speed be better with a Brit Host? TIA for any help
Posted by mripguru, 05-22-2006, 11:00 AM Well, speed and latency to the US is not all that much more these days - so, I think you'd be well-off in either place (as long as your reseller provider has decent connectivity to the UK). Though, latency, for straight shared hosting generally is not so much a factor unless your doing streaming or *big* file downloads (there seems to be an 800kB/sec. "cap" that was mentioned once or twice around here a couple of times due to the packet size used - though I don't know.) Hope this helps....
