Server Monitoring Scripts Lightweight Recommendations
Posted by pubcrawler, 01-23-2012, 05:09 PM So, we have lots of varied servers out there. Finding keeping an eye on them to be quite a chore Looking for recommendations for monitoring software. Need something lightweight, any language will suffice (PHP is fine). Need to monitor ping times between the various servers and store the times for long term review and auditing. Notifications when something is offline is important also. HTTP page retrieval and some analysis to indicate functioning site is another need. It's basically a many to many type monitoring scenario. Anything come to mind that others are using? Interested in house software, no cloud or outsourced software... Thanks!
