Hi there,
I have a windows server 2008 and I installed websitepanel and IIS is running. Someone changed my administrator's password.
Please advise how did he/she do ? and What should I do ?

did he had direct access to your server?
did he know the old password?
What should you do? Contact your provider to change it back...

No , He could use remote desktop only
did he know the old password?
No, He reset my password.
Please advise what should I do to prevent this action in future. and How can I find the security problem of our server ?

check the logs... if you're not a IT guy, hire someone... maybe your hosting company is offering some management package...

I have checked logs and secured my server by changing policy in windows.
But if you have any recommend setting , please advise

It is security issue when you root password is changed, why don't you consult with some expert?

If you do not know the answer to my question then you don't need to advice me to go and see the expert. As I am asking the experts in this forum to help me. If you are one, then I'll be glad to hear your advice, if not, then don't advice.

Google "harden windows 2008" and you will get lots of links to valid hardening techniques. I would never put a Win server on the net without doing some basic hardening first. The steps are very simple but too lengthy to be offered in a forum.
