Possible?

Ok, I'm thinking to buy paid account of CloudFlare, but I have a question. Can it protect nameservers too ? What I mean is, suppose I setup name server ns1.domain.com(xxx.xx.x.xx) ns2.domain.com(xxx.xx.x.xx) Can I hide the original IP of nameservers behind cloudflare ip ? So when someone pings the nameservers, the ip of cloudflare comes instead of my original ip. This way, the ddoser won't be able to find my ip and hit me directly.

When you sign up to CloudFlare, even if it's the free version, the name servers will become CloudFlare's name servers, which would be using CF's IPs. It is possible to find the IP address of the server in question even once using CloudFlare. Don't think that using CF makes you immune to DoS/DDoS attacks, because it doesn't.

Some people assume that we're an IP protection service & we don't position ourselves that way at all. Basic lookups will show our IPs, of course, but there are still other ways of getting server IP addresses.
