im looking for a good hoster

Posted by yUwuTh9S, 03-08-2008, 06:44 PM
this is what im trying to look for. webspace: 20GB or more bandwidth: 200GB or more location: eather in california, seattle, or texas. it must come with a free dedicated IP or a dedicated IP for 1$ more. i already went to hostgator and resellerpanel and they werent good. also the hoster MUST be ddos protected. my sites get hit very hard from time to time (+150k bots). must come with a free billing system. and there must be live support from the hoster so if anything is wrong i can just jump on live chat. my buget is: $25.00 or less. (no higher)

Can you give some more information on the ddos ? As in how many times and what has happened when attacked with your current provider. I think you can find what your looking for as most reseller accounts come with private nameservers but its perhaps a little high on the resources but If you have a good look round wht and get a list together and then have a good chat with the hosts and then let us know how it goes.

Get a dedicated server and be prepared for the ddos attack. I would be surprise if you can find a host satisfy all of your requirements.

It is unlikely that given your requirements and budget, a host can deal with repeated DDoS attacks that target your sites, and still make a profit. You should look for hosting that is specifically designed for DDoS prone sites, and that kind of service will come at a price.

I will definitely recommend HostGator!

The original poster already stated that he/she tried HostGator and is looking for alternatives. I completely agree.

From the research that I've done I doubt that you will find someone with DDOS protection for your price range. Most shared hosting will not put up with repeated attacks that eat up huge amounts of resources for $25/mo.
